20 Weeks and Halfway Through!

I always have such great intentions for this blog, but life never seems to allow me to update like I should! GO Figure!

For those of you that don't know we found out a few weeks ago that God is blessing us with another precious little GIRL!! Reagan Lynn Williford will be her name and we are beyond excited! Anna-Grace has even warmed up to the idea of a little sister, and is no longer completely devistated that it's not a little brother! Fortunatly for us our neighbors have 3 boys and some good friends of ours have 2 boys, so she'll be able to get her boy fix in! LOL

Yesaterday marked 20 Weeks for me and Baby Reagan- which already sounds like alot since I'm halfway through but when I think about Anna-Grace coming 3 weeks early really makes it sink in how close we are to meeting her! My weight is not climbing as fast as it did with Anna-Grace (Thank God) but I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the FLU and sinus infection....hopefully I can keep eating better and not be the big cow I was with AG! HA HA!

It's been a crazy month in the Williford household with Anna-Grace having a sinus infection, then the next week we BOTH got the FLU, then the next week Anna-Grace had an Ear Infection. We have been to the doctor more times than I can count, and (crossing my fingers and toes) think we are finally all back on the mend. How my husband managed to stay healthy through all of this AMAZES me, but thank god he did or our house would have fallen apart!

Reagan is moving like crazy the doctor said my placenta is in the back so I should be feeling a lot more movement. Anna-Grace has felt her move, (she's not that impressed!) but Daddy hasn't yet, I'm sure by the end of this week he will though. While I 'm at work it seems as if she's trying to kick her way out. I go back to the doctor next week so I'll try to update again then if not before!

Week 8 and Everything's GREAT!

We had our first "official" visit to the baby doctor this week. No new ultrasound since there was no more bleeding since last week :-( I was kind of sad Chris missed the 1st ultrasound, but it was way more important we checked on baby last week.  Everything looks good. I have a new midwife than I had last time (as mine left the practice) but she's really nice and fits in well with our since of humor! The next 7 months of visits could prove to be interesting! LOL We go back January 5th to hear the heartbeat and then February 10th to find out the Million Dollar Question is it a Boy or Girl!!! Deette (my Midwife) said we could bring Anna-Grace we told her and she's SUPER excited. She really wants a baby brother and we keep trying to explain to her she may not get what she wants, something she's totally not used to, so we will wait and see how that goes.

As far as everything else goes, I finally got in the Christmas spirit last weekend and put the tree up, Chris put up the outside decorations on Monday so it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Williford household. Anna-Grace has her own special Princess Tree this year complete with Princess ornaments and pink bulbs! My Grandma Leen gave me an Angel Ornament (in the picture above to the left of Tiny our Elf on A Shelf) the Christmas before she passed away and it makes me sad every year when I put it on the tree. I have comfort in the fact that it's her way of watching over us at one of her favorite holidays....she would have spoiled Anna-Grace rotten and would have loved how excited she's going to be this year when she opens up her presents. She would be even more thrilled to know we had another one on the way.....times like this are when I miss her the most :-(

On a happier note, we had a bit of snow while we were putting up the tree, but it was too dark for pictures and when we woke up the sun had melted it all away. Anna-Grace and I were leaving the grocery store when it started and I was pushing her in a cart. A little old lady behind us remarked about how Anna-Grace's eyes were glowing and they were, she was so excited! This year Christmas is going to be the best one yet. I may be more excited than she is!

Introducing Baby #2

So we had a sneak peak at our litle peanut yesterday......I don't go to my official 1st visit until next Wednesday but I had some minor bleeding the night before last, so they just wanted to check things out. The doctor said everything looked good, the heartbeat was strong and everything was A OK! Which was great news.

We have had one sick little girl on our hands this week as Anna-Grace has strep throat and a sinus infection. We were starting to wonder if she was ever going to feel better. She woke p this morning and seems a bit better so hopefully we have reached a turning point. Poor Chris had to take care of me all weekend as I was just exhausted and then he spent all 3 of his days off caring for a sick 3 year old (who can be quite bossy when she's sick)!  Poor thing I think he may have been a bit relieved to go back to work today! LOL

In other news, Tiny reappeared when we arrived home from our Thanksgiving travels! He works wonders. I am thinking about asking Santa if he can spare that little Elf all year long! He however, is the ONLY Christmas decoration we have up. I had plans to do it over the weekend but did not have the energy.....I haven't even taken down our Halloween stuff (whoops) Oh well, here's to getting it done this weekend!

Anna-Grace sings Princess Songs

Our Little Girl is quite the performer! She was upstairs in her room last week singing away for over an hour, I was suprised when I snuck up there to secretly videotape her that she turned right around and performed for me!

Week 6 and My New Best Friend!

I thought I would take today to introduce you to my new best friend! It seems the 2 of us will be spending a lot of time together over the course of the next few weeks (and hopefully ONLY the next few weeks).

I never had any of this with Anna-Grace, and I think God planned it that way because if I would have, I never would have had any other children!!!!

Other than the morning sickness and the fatigue things are going well. My Doctor just called me in some meds for the nausea so hopefully they will help. She did however tell me I was out of luck because they cannot write a prescription for more energy :-( so I guess I'm stuck with that one! I have been trying to decide all day how to convince our families to have Thanksgiving without food....

Exciting news!!

Anna-Grace is going to be a Big Sister!!!

We are super excited to announce that the newest (and final for those of you wondering) addition to our little family should be arriving sometime in July! Anna-Grace is very excited to be a Big Sister but says she wants a Baby Brother because a Baby Sister might want to play with all of her toys! Pretty smart for a 3 year old. We just keep explaining to her that we don't get to pick and we have to take what God thinks we should have, so we will have to wait and see.

The picture above was taken before Chris got home from work a few weeks ago this was how we told him I was pregnant. I love her face in this one because she truly looks excited~ we will have to see how long it lasts. We go to our 1st appointment December 8th so we will keep everyone posted.

So She Thinks She Can Dance

Ladies and Gentlemen keep your eyes open because one day you may see this precious little face on TV one day.

Anna-Grace started her Kinder Ballet/Tap class last night. She was so excited and ready to go the second I got home from work.

Parents were not allowed to stay inside the classroom (too much of a distraction for 3 & 4 year olds) so most of my pictures were snapped through the door! She listened to the teacher very well and was all smiles when the teacher gave her a stamp at the end of class. Her recital isn't until June and I am very excited to see how much she learns over the next 10 months!

Love our Grandma Teenie!!

After we rested from a night of dancing Anna-Grace and I headed to one of my most favorite places in the world.....Grandma Teenie's house. We got to spend some QT time with her and played the piano and sat in the swing on the front porch! Something about her house just relaxes me and makes me feel at home. I just wish we lived closer so we could visit more!!

Dancing Machine~

Our daughter is a dancing machine! Daddy had to work so Anna-Grace and I had a date to my Aunt's Birthday Party/Suprise Wedding Ceremony! AG boggied all night long till she literally couldn't stand anymore......guess she gets that from her mommy ;-)

Mother's Day 2010

I had a wonderfully relaxing Mother's Day. Saturday we loaded up and headed to Atlantic Beach just the 3 of us! It was wonderful. We spent the 1st half of the day at the aquarium which she LOVED. She even got to pet a sting ray, which if you ask her she will say the sting ray tried to eat her fingers! LOL

We finished up at the aquarium and headed to the beach...though it was a bit windy it was still great, Anna-Grace is starting to love the beach, and had a blast following her Daddy while I lounged around!

We came home and went out to dinner and ended with drinking some wine out of my wonderful Mother's Day present pictured above :-)

Being a mom is by far the best thing I have ever done with my life. I just feel so incredibly blessed everyday :-)

Playing catch up as usual.....

Chris and I look forward to the spring/summer months all winter long. Being stuck in the house with a toddler all winter long can be taxing and we are people that like to go and have fun~and it's not fun bundling up just to walk to the car!! With 3 snows under our belt and all of Anna-Grace's health issues things have finally been on the upswing for us and we have been going non-stop!!

Instead of craming it all into one post, stay tuned for several post and pics to bring you up to speed! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are!!!

Anna-Grace Update Part2

Chris took Anna-Grace to her follow up this past Thursday we didn't learn much other than all of the reflux is on the right side of her kidneys not both. The doctor wants us to keep her on a low grade antibiotic for the next year and bring her in every 3 months to check her urine. He wants us to just keep a close eye on things and if nothing changes or gets worse he wants us to take her back to have the same tests done in 1 year (soooo not looking forward to going through that again!).

So at least no surgery for now. The doctor seems to think she may outgrow this and since there was no damage to her kidneys thinks we should try to wait it out. So looks like we have to wait and see what happens!

Introducing Jackson~

After 9 long months of waiting my Godson,  Grant Jackson Boseman Jr. finally arrived this week! He was born at 10:11pm Monday April 5th, 2010 weighing 8lbs and 13 oz! He is perfect! Anna-Grace is still a bit jealous, and HATES for me to hold him, but I think she will get used to him over time. He's perfect and Amanda is doing great already a perfect mom!

Anna-Grace Update

I took Anna-Grace yesterday to have her Renal Ultrasound and VCUG Tests done to see what if anything was causing her repeat bladder infections.

Her Renal Ultrasound came back great! Her kidneys looked good and they saw no abnormalities. She did amazing, she laughed the whole time and told the ultrasonographer that she was tickling her, and kept asking her if she could see the chicken nuggets in her belly!

After we were done there we then headed to another room to have the VCUG test done. This one was a lot harder for the both of us. They made me take her clothes off and lay her on an x-ray table. They brought in a lady who was equipped with toys and games to keep Anna-Grace distracted and while she was distracting her and I was helping keep her still they cleaned her up and inserted a catheter. She cried for only 2 seconds and went right back to playing with her toys. The doctor came in a few minutes later and they began filling the catheter with the dye and started taking pictures. She did great through this process. She laid very still and when the doctor needed her to roll to either side she did just like he asked. All of the nurses and the doctor were raving about how great she was to only be 2 years old.

The next part was the hardest. After they were finished taking pictures they took the catheter out and wanted Anna-Grace to go potty so they could take more pictures as she was emptying her bladder. This is when the crying started. She kept saying "Mommy I can't pee-pee on the table I have to pee-pee in the potty"! She kept crying wanting me to pick her up, she would NOT go tot he bathroom on that table. The nurse even filled a thing up with warm water and poured it over her and she still would not go. Finally the nurse went and got a small bed pan and I told Anna-Grace it was a baby potty and that she could go in that and the second they put it under her she went to the bathroom! I was so proud of her being so brave and couldn't have asked for her to be any better than she was. Some days I think she is stronger than I am.

The doctors office was closed so I asked the Radiologist if he could share with me what if anything he found and he said that he did see where she was suffering from Stage 3 Vesicoureteral reflux. Which means that her bladder is allowing urine to flow back up into her kidneys causing bacteria to get into them, which is causing her repeat bladder infections. He said there are 3 options 1- is to closely monitor her and see if she outgrows it, 2- is to keep her on a constant round of antibiotics (though this option worries me and Chris a little bit that she might develop immunities to the antibiotics and continue to get infections that could damage her kidneys)and 3- is to refer us to a urologist and see if they want to perform a surgical procedure on her to fix the problem. From what research I have done online it seems that they only do this in Stage 4 or 5 cases so I am hoping this is not the route we have to go.

The good thing the radiologist did say yesterday is that the infections she has had so far have not done any damage to her kidneys, so it’s a good thing they went ahead and sent us for these tests before it got too bad.

Chris will be taking her to the Ped's office on Thursday to follow up with the doctor and put a plan of action in place, so I will update again when we know more. For now just make sure to say a little prayer for her!

Easter 2010

This Easter was a bit bittersweet for us. We were sooooo happy to be back home with our monkey after being away from her for a week, but as I was downloading her pictures realized that this time last year was some of the last healthy memories we have with Anna-Grace with my Grandmother and Chris's Grandpa. I know they were still watching over her yesterday though!

She was so excited for her Easter Basket and loved everything in it. She was even more excited when her friend Ashlyn came over to hunt Easter Eggs and eat some Easter dinner!
